The staff selection commission (SSC) has announced the one of the desired exams of the country that is the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination. SSC is the authority in India that conducts the CHSL examination for the job recruitment under following vacancy- Data entry operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant & Court Clerk. SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2016

The Application of SSC CHSL 2016 has been published on 8 October, 2016. Eligible and Interested aspirants can apply through online mode. The last date for submission of online application Form is 7th November, 2016. Mode of payment
- Payment of fees is accepted in both online and offline mode. Whereas the payment of application form fees is exempted for all female candidates and candidates belonging to the SC/ST. Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation, as per government rules.
- For aspirants submitting application form by offline (paper mode) should pay the fee of Rs 100 by Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) only.
- For aspirants submitting the application form online have to pay the fee of Rs 100/= by SBI Challan or they could opt for online payment by net banking or credit/debit cards mode.
- The Applicants submitting the application form online should pay the fee of Rs 100 by SBI Challan or Online payment by Net banking or credit/debit cards only.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2016
SSC this session 2016-17, has made some changes in the Exam Pattern of SSC CHSL 2016 exam. The applicants will appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT). The Commission has included one more tier in the examination which is a Descriptive Exam. The Exam Pattern includes the type of questions, number of questions, marking scheme and exam period. The applicants appearing for the exam should be by with the Exam Pattern.
Tier I – Computer Based Test
- There will be 4 parts of the question paper.
- 25 questions each will be asked from these sections.
- These parts are – General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- Each section is 50 marks.
- Time Duration of the exam is 2 hours.
- Paper will consist of objective type.
- Questions will be set both medium in English & Hindi for Part-I, III & IV.
- There will be 0.50 negative marks for each wrong answer.

Tier II – Descriptive Test
The Tier-II Paper of SSC will be a descriptive Paper which will be if 100 Marks. The test will be conducted in ‘Pen and Paper Mode type. The time duration of the paper will be for 1 hour. This paper will test the writing skills of the applicants.
Tier-III – Typing /Skill Test
The Tier-III will comprise of typing skill test.

The selection process is divided in two parts which 1) online computer based test, 2) Descriptive test and skill test. Those candidates who have qualified the online computer based test will be called for the tire II descriptive test. On the basis of the marks obtained in tier I and tire II will be called for skill test. The final selection of the candidate is strictly on merit basis.
