University of Sydney offers PhD Scholarships in Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies 2013

The offered scholarships are presented in the field of transport and logistics for pursuing PhD degree level by the University of Sydney and can be taken at Australia. The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS) is presenting up to two full time PhD scholarships (one in transport and one in logistics and supply chain management) to enlarge a modeling potential in support of policy on the sitting and design of inter-modal container terminals in metropolitan areas. The transport scholarship is for a research student fascinated in transport network models, with a specific focus on freight, inter-modal networks, and network design.

 

The eligibility and international applicability:-

Even if any disciplinary background is in principle okay for either scholarship, provider support applications from graduates in economics, econometrics, operations research, mathematics, engineering, physics or geography. It is anticipated that applicants will have strong quantitative skills in their respective discipline areas. Successful applicants for both scholarships must have good written and oral communication skills. There will be opportunities to assist in tutorial work with graduate students.

 

Scholarship is open for Australian Students. International candidates may submit an application and if successful a scholarship to cover tuition fees will also be provided.

Information about the awards:-

2 no of scholarships are offered for up to 3 years covering the APA rate of AU$ 24,653 per annum (tax exempt), for up to three years. International candidates may submit an application and if successful a scholarship to cover tuition fees will also be provided.
