South African Citizens are offered FirstRand Laurie Dippenaar Scholarship in 2013.

South African Citizens are offered with the prestigious laurie dippenaar scholarship for international postgraduate study to the value of R350 000 per annum for a maximum of two years for study outside south Africa in any discipline at the internationally recognised university of their choice for a postgraduate degree. This scholarship has been made available for pursuing postgraduate degree by the FirstRand Limited and can be taken abroad.

 

The eligibility and international applicability:-

There is no age limit, but first choice will be given to candidates under the age of 35.

-Candidates who are at present, or have been studying overseas, will not be considered for this scholarship.

South African citizens can submit an application for the scholarship.

 

Information about the awards and selection criteria:-

The scholarship is offered for a maximum of two years.

The scholarship is to the value of R350 000 per annum.

Excellence is the only criteria for selection. The successful candidate will have excelled academically in his chosen field of endeavor and will have been able to exhibit

–         Leadership qualities;

–         -strength of character;

–         -community minded endeavors’; and

–         The potential to be a destiny changer in his or her chosen field.

 

Notification: – Short listed candidates will be notified by the end of April 2013 and should be available for the final interviews to be held in Sandton, during April 2013. A final announcement will be made before the end of May 2013.
