King’s College of London provides Joint PhD Studentship for International Students 2013.

The students intending to undertake research in various schools/departments may delightedly apply for a PhD Studentship allied with the joint PhD degree between King’s College London and Humboldt University. It is open to international students and research is offered in various departments in the Schools of Arts & Humanities, Natural & Mathematical Sciences, Social Sciences & Public Policy and eligible academic departments are Geography, German, English, Philosophy, Mathematics, Culture, Media & Creative Industries. Applicant should surely make one of the King’s College academic department as their home department.

Applicants must going to start a full-time MPhil/PhD research degree programme during 2013/14.

Eligibility criteria: -Applicants must due to initiate a full-time MPhil/PhD research degree programme throughout 2013/14; and make one of the adequate academic departments at King’s College London their home department – Geography, German, English, Philosophy, Mathematics, Culture, Media & Creative Industries

  Students requisite paying international tuition fees will be requisite to wrap the variation between the home/EU and international fee level from alternative sources.

. All eligible applicants who, as of 17:00GMT on 1st February 2013, either (a) holds an offer of admission to the MPhil/PhD programme or (b) has submitted a complete application for admission which is still subject to review, can be considered for the Joint PhD Studentships as appropriate. There will be no separate application form for funding.

 

International status: Open to international Students.

 

Description of the scholarship: The students intending to undertake research in various schools/departments may delightedly apply for a PhD Studentship allied with the joint PhD degree between King’s College London and Humboldt University.

The KCL-Humboldt Joint PhD Studentship will cover tuition fees at home/EU level and provide an annual stipend for up to three years subject to satisfactory progress. Please note that students who are required to pay tuition fees at the overseas rate are eligible to apply but will be required to cover the difference between the home/EU and international fee level from alternative sources

 

Award(s) offered: Offers two scholarships.

 

Awards duration: Covers tuition fees at home/EU level and make available an annual grant for up to 3 years.

 

Coverage of scholarship: The Mentioned Studentship will wrap tuition fees at home/EU level and provide an annual stipend of approx £15,750 for 2013/14 plus Home/EU tuition fees, plus up to £1,000 a year in research expenses. Please note that students who are required to pay tuition fees at the overseas rate are eligible to apply but will be required to cover the difference between the home/EU and international fee level from alternative sources.

 

Applying procedure: There will be no separate application form for funding. All entitled applicants who on 1st February 2013 either holds an offer of admission to the MPhil/PhD programme or has proposed a complete request for admission which is still issue to review, can be measured for the Joint PhD Studentships as suitable.

 

Deadline for entertaining: In dearth of any separate request form for funding so the entitled unit will be asked to propose utmost two candidates each by the nomination deadline of 1st of March 2013.

 

Notification: Decisions will be publicize by the end of April 2013.
