Oakland University Scholarship Program ( OUS )

Oakland University is accepting applications for its undergraduate degree program i.e Oakland University Scholarship Program. University also offers scholarships to freshmen who are “Legacy students” (whose grandparents, parents, sibling, aunt or uncle received a degree or academic certificate from University). The award is also based on academic record, which includes GPA and ACT score during the time of application.

If you are a freshmen student your application will be accepted through a merit-based system. If you belong to International students category then you have to submit your application through Online method 12 months before you want to begin your classes.
The scholarship will be awarded for four years to freshmen and two years for transfer applicants.

  • Talented scholar award: This award is being awarded to entering freshmen with a high school GPA of 3.70-3.79 and an ACT composite score of 27 or higher or with a high school GPA of 3.80 or higher and an ACT composite score equal to 25 or 26.
  • University Recognition award: If you are freshmen with a high school GPA of 3.40-3.49 and an ACT composite score of 23 or higher, OR with a high school GPA of 3.40 or higher and ACT composite score equal to 23 can apply for this award.
  • Non-Resident award: You must have scored high school GPA of 3.0 or higher who are not Michigan residents and allows them to pay in-state tuition rates.   • Presidential scholar award: This award is offered to those with a high school GPA of 3.90 or higher and an ACT composite score of 31 or higher
  • Distinguished Scholar Award: University offers this award to entering freshmen with a high school GPA of 3.80-3.89 and an ACT composite score of 27 or higher, OR high school GPA of 3.90 or higher and an ACT composite score of 27-30.

Eligibility Criteria for Merit Scholarships (For Transfers):

  • Legacy transfer Award: This award is being given to students with a college GPA of 3.0 or higher, 24 or more transferable credits and have at least two years remaining in their undergraduate program. Please note that applicants must have earned 24 transferable credits.
  • Non-resident Award: Awarded to those applicants who have college GPA of 3.0 or higher and 24 or more transferable credits who are not Michigan residents and allows them to pay in-state tuition rates. If you are citizens of Canada and Mexico you also qualify.
  • Awards offered by University are based upon academic record, including GPA and ACT score at the time of application.

With a view to educate agricultural and horticultural students from developing countries the Marshal Papworth Fund was established in 2001 to provide one year scholarships.

Wholly managed by The East of England Agricultural Society the major endeavor is to classify students who will come back to their home country after their studies to use their knowledge for the benefit of their fellow countrymen.

The first students to benefit from these courses commenced their studies in the academic year of 2002/03. So far over 90 scholarships have been awarded to applicants from around the world.

    • Part-time earning levels are about £6 – £9 per hour, and this is currently restricted to 20 hours per week by the UK Border Agency.

    • Selection will be on the basis of academic excellence, for applicants from developing countries working in natural resource based projects (agriculturalist/natural resource)

Fulbright Student Master’s Degree Scholarship Program Lebanese in the United States 2014/16

Funded by the U.S Congress the Fulbright Student Scholarship Program is open to Lebanese Citizen. The offer is for pursuing Master’s degree level in any of the study field except electrical, mechanical and computer engineering, dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or other clinical fields (nursing administration is permitted). The programme covers a maximum of two academic years of study and is to begin in August 2014. The scholarship covers round trip airfare tuition, books, health insurance, and room and board. Applicants from all disciplines are eligible to apply and also they must be a Lebanese citizen or a legal, long-term Palestinian resident in Lebanon.

Rennesha Patterson Vocal Musicianship Scholarship to be taken at USA, 2013

The offered scholarship is for pursuing Bachelor of Music, Associate of Arts, or Certificate Vocal Performance Programs at Musicians Institute in USA. The benefit of this monetary grant can be having by the US citizens as well as international students for programs beginning in fall 2013. The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in vocal performance programs only, and may not be transferred to non-performance program emphases (Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA or Bachelor degree.

Post-doctoral Fellowships in the Humanities in U.S. and Germany, 2014

These postdoctoral fellowships are available for pursuing postdoctoral degree level in the field of humanities at Universities and Research Institutes. The provider of this monetary grant is Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Volkswagen Foundation. The application deadline is October 2, 2013 for fellowships in the USA and October 16, 2013 for fellowships in Germany. Open to nationals of USA and Germany and can be taken at USA and Germany.
